Partridge and Associates CPA’s, a professional CPA and Accounting Firm serving Scottsdale and Phoenix, were recently announced as one of three finalists for the prestigious Arizona Governor’s Arts Award for 2017. Partridge and Associates CPA’s was nominated for their continued contributions to The Scottsdale Philharmonic, a non-profit symphony that provides a professional classical concert season free to the public and whose mission is to make available classical music to audiences of all ages. The 36th annual Governor’s Arts Awards ceremony will be held on May 4th at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale. The awards ceremony celebrates individuals and businesses that directly support different aspects of the arts. Partridge and Associates CPA’s is a finalist in the small business category for its work helping to promote classical music to the local community via its formation and continued support of The Scottsdale Philharmonic.
Scottsdale Philharmonic Overview
Founded in 2012, The Scottsdale Philharmonic was established as a non-profit corporation that was originally funded by the CPA firm and has now grown and funded by the contributions from the general public and the local business community. Joy Partridge, founder and managing partner of Partridge & Associates CPA’s, co-founded The Scottsdale Philharmonic and serves as President of the Board and CEO of the symphony. With more than 30 years as a violinist, and 25 years serving actively on valley symphony boards, Joy has a passion for both creating and sharing quality classical symphony music with residents of Scottsdale and neighboring communities. All of The Scottsdale Philharmonic concerts are free for all ages, and take place at the Scottsdale Bible Church which has audiences of over 1,800 per concert.
