Twins Laura and Claudia are using their training in podiatry to starTWINNITS.

The aim is to bring healthy-fun footwear to the costumers that wants to relax at home.

The twins describe how they come up with the concept :

‘’ Twinnits started as a project in the university in podology career. Our friends asked us for a comfortable shoe that they could wear while at home and that did not cause them feet or back pain. But we didn’t find what they were looking for in the market. So we create a prototype for friends and family.

The idea began to spread by word of mouth and more and more people asked us for a pair. So we decided to do little research to create the perfect shoe to be at home:

– Made of wool, so it’s warm at winter, cool at summer and environmental-friendly.
– With a perfect design footbed to make it comfortable and prevent back pain.

We did a really hard-work spending out free time to develop and create the perfect slipper. At the beginning, it started as a university project ,but observing the demand that has, we decided to develop this idea.’’

The new startup will be launch through the crowfunding web Kickstarter ,and then through their web site www.twinnits.com , which will enable the girls to finance the first production using a well establish footwear factory in their home area.

It is fun for twins to come up with the idea of Twinnits for a pair of shoes, prompted by their passion for healthy feet.
