Salt Lake City, Utah – Movie actor Matt Ashby says he enjoys the variety of film projects he has been involved with.
Ashby began his acting career in the movie Species in 1995, and since then he has been in commercials, television shows, feature films, and even a music video. He said he enjoys them all and welcomes the opportunity to participate in similar projects in the future.
His most recent projects include The Outpost, a television series on the CW Network, as well as the Disney Channel hit series Andi Mack. He was also in the ABC series Blood and Oil in 2016, as well as the film Small Town Crime.
He has been in a number of movies, and says some of his favorite are Riot, What a Way to Go, the HBO experimental film Mosaic, Joseph Smith -American Prophet, and a Hallmark Channel film Switched for Christmas.
Ashby says he loves acting and works hard to perfect his craft by continuing to receive additional training and coaching. Most recently he participated in an acting intensive workshop taught by Tom Todoroff.

Ashby became and Eagle Scout, and graduated from Viewmont High School, as well as the LDS Seminary. He served his country for four years as a U.S. Marine and has an honorable discharge.
“The most fun I have had making a film was when I was when I was in a prison fight scene in the movie Riot,” he said.
“A movie without music is like a skier without skis,” says Ashby. He has written music with the hope that it will one day be use in one of his own films.
