Looks, Lunch Love with Lorene has hosted a book launch party to celebrate the launch of The Perfectly Imperfect Christian aka The Ratchet Files of Lorene Chesley.
Author and actress Lorene Chesley welcomed book lovers to celebrate her literary debut, and offered inspired to pursue their dreams.
The free event was held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the beautiful Habesha Event Venue and Lodge at 5066 ½ Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019 from 5:00PM – 8:00PM
The Perfectly Imperfect Christian examines the journey of actin’ a fool, and going on some wild adventures, all while having the unfailing love of God, and the grace to get back up again. Author Lorene Chesley chronicles some of the most trying years of her life. But with every test comes a testimony! She was inspired to share her story with fellow everyday Christians, and offer guidance and prayers to help them weather their storms too. This healing book provides the comfort and support that we as Christians need amidst the harsh realities and obstacles of life. It will uplift your soul, make you laugh, and inspire you to keep pursuing your dreams and destiny. It urges believers to have faith that God has the ultimate master plan, and to keep walking in your purpose!
A native of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, Lorene grew up studying ballet and tap at The Davis Center, singing lessons with Ms. Dawn Reynolds and Okinawan Karate at the Murray Studio. However, as soon as Lorene played the Evil Stepmother in Cinderella, she knew acting was what she wanted to do with her life. Lorene continued to follow her dream by attending Temple University and earning her BA in Theater and Communications (2005). She wanted to delve deeper into her craft, so she obtained her Masters of Fine Arts from the prestigious University of California San Diego (2009). After graduating from UCSD, Lorene relocated to Los Angeles and booked roles on Shameless, Perception and most recently The Fosters.
