New Mexico – October 26, 2018 – Flora Goldberg, a celebrated plastic artist has launched the new children’s book titled ‘Sebastian the boy who loved elephants.’ Flora Goldberg is a prolific plastic artist who has taken part in many art exhibitions around the world.
Flora Goldberg found time to write a book for children by an inspiration she got during a thanksgiving. During a purely private dinner with family, the urge to write the book was brought by a comment made by her grandson Sebastian. When Sebastian was asked what he intended to thank for, his reply kindled her curiosity. He said, “I am thankful that elephants exist.’ To Flora, this was an eye-opener and decided that she would write a book on ‘Elephants’ with illustrations drawn by herself and her two grandchildren.
Children’s books are useful due to two good reasons. Findings of Early Literacy National Panel have revealed the fact that children who have been introduced to reading books by parents develop a keen interest which helps them later during their higher studies and professional life.
One of the advantages of resorting to reading books is that it helps children in the enhancement of attention, focus and improved speech. They are instrumental because they guide to lead a brighter future with confidence. It makes an individual’s fresh and feel better. The second compelling reason for children’s books being useful is because, for a language learner, these books are simple to understand and learn the language.
Flora Goldberg’s ‘Sebastian the boy who loved elephants’ is written in a style which appeals to the rich and varied images of the children. The simple language and vivid illustrations are drawn through the eyes of a child make the book very attractive and exciting.
The quote by Kailash satyarthri “Childhood means simplicity. Look at the world with the child’s eye – it is very beautiful.” The book fully reflects the statement made by Satyarthri. Though this was intended as a family book, dedicated to her grandchildren, an American publisher came forward to publish the book.
