Non-profit organization focusing on breast cancer, Pawsitively 4 Pink, to launch its first annual fundraiser in March 2019
Pawsitively 4 Pink is an innovative non-profit organization that aims to provide support for who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. In line with the goal of the organization to improve the well-being of women that have been diagnosed with breast cancer with love and dedication, while also offering support to such women facing financial challenges, Pawsitively 4 Pink has announced that it will be holding its first annual fundraiser at The White Eagle in Worcester, MA on March 2, 2019.
Studies have revealed that breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the United States with one person diagnosed every 10 minutes and over 11,000 people dying from the disease every year. It has also been revealed that 1 in 8 women in the US will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, many of which lack the necessary resources to fight the disease and come out as survivors. Consequently, many women and other such persons suffering from breast cancer eventually lose the battle with cancer. This is where Pawsitively 4 Pink is looking to change the narrative particularly with financially challenged women by offering them the support they need to fight and survive cancer.
The upcoming fundraiser that is being organised to support the needs of local women and men who have diagnosed with breast cancer further reiterates the goal of the organization. Pawsitively 4 Pink offers different levels of support to cancer patients, which include connecting individuals with local agencies to ensure that their needs are met. Some of the levels of support offered by the organization in collaboration with other agencies include gift cards, groceries, financial support for other bills, as well as tips and information to help patients and their caregivers survive the trying times.
Tickets to the fundraiser scheduled to hold on March 2, 2019, by 6 p.m. at The White Eagle, located on 116 Green Street, Worcester, MA can be found on the website. There will be lots of food, fun, raffles, live auction, and music at the event, offering a more relaxed and fun environment to tackle the scourge of cancer.
