OER Online PR platform aims to catapult Oman to the Global Business Forefront

In its digital platform, OER Business Review creates a permanent window between the financial landscape of the Asian country, the Arab business world, as well as a reflection of the state of the world market – drawing a multitude of brands and entrepreneurs in the process.

Muscat, Sultanate of Oman – Intending to advance its strategy of editorial innovation, OER PR & MEdia Coverage premiered last year its digital source dedicated to Oman’s commercial apparatus.

To date – amid a tense political climate for the region – the platform coincides with a moment that experts have described as “historic breakthrough” in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship – which pulls prospects from foreign investors.

Atulya Sharma, CEO in OER, attributes its success to the “huge network of collaborators, led by a solid team of professionals faithful to excellence and transparency.” This strategy has led for the medium to reach, now within the online community, the status of a leader and online reference – reputation with its printed namesake also displayed.

“Creating our own publication responded to the lack of attention towards the economic reality of Oman (characters, achievements, challenges, impact, projections…) The website version is a natural upgrade we were very methodic about before it’s release; fortunately, everything seems to point out it was worth it!” said Alpana Roy, current Executive Vice President.

According to both leaders, OER Online is “more relevant than ever” due to the high activity recorded in the first half of 2019 -a wave started by the businesses born during the previous crises – which they hope will continue to develop with fluidity.

The Media in Oman

Back in 2017, after analyzing the behavior of oil prices, the World Bank anticipated that by 2019, Oman would grow by 3%. While these figures go hand in hand with both private investment and policies of control and diversification surrounding the public finances of the Sultanate of Qabus bin Said al Sdsaid (in force since 1970), this reality doesn’t seem to translate into the press.

According to HRW, this contrast – which has been denounced by activists and independent journalists alike – is due to an “austere government stance” regarding the media.

OER supposes a victory for the public opinion and data management of the country located in the far east of the Arabian Peninsula (composed of a population of 4.6 million inhabitants).

In addition to articles, press releases, reports and original images (available indefinitely), OER provides continuous video analysis to, as reflected in its website “guarantee readers to join the corporate epicenter and the market’s flow” on an international scale. A minimalist Web aesthetic accompanies the content (updated regularly).
