New York – Sep 27, 2019 – Donald Malter, a Veteran of some 30 years plus in the Music Industry is assembling a portfolio of Online Services designed to help new and up and coming musicians navigate their way and become established in the Industry.
The Music Industry is changing. What was the correct form and approach to launch careers up to three to five years ago has now changed. The arrival of Social Media and the new platforms and services they bring with them has democratized marketing and promotion for artists to a degree and level that even 2-3 years ago would almost have been unthinkable.

These new Services and Techniques also bring with them pitfalls and it is to this end that Donald Malter, an “Old School Music Man” wishes to teach and help new Musicians still use some of the “Old School” Methodologies and principles but in a “New School” manner
The first of these new initiatives will involve a series of Podcasts whereby Donald Malter will discuss with other leading executives within Show Business the matters and affairs of the day whilst also adding an educational element.
The first recordings have been made and are now ready to be released. “I’ve tried to make them as real world and practical as possible” Donald said when asked “it’s vital that new young musicians get the best advice possible as mistakes made too early on in fledgling careers can be expensive to correct later on if you are not careful.”
Not only is the way we actually consume music changing i.e. the move from the physical product to the more digital forms of delivery but it seems that each and every month brings about new Markets hitherto untapped for Musicians such as China and India etc.
“I’m hoping that my background working within the environment of some of the World’s largest Music organisations such as Sony, BMG and Warner Music Group will help shed light on some of the ways that we used to work but also how some of the old principles still exist but can actually benefit being brought into the new paradigm that is Music today” Donald says.
