February 19, 2020 – Short poems when internalized can become important sources of faith confessions every day, acting like little sources of inspiration. A new Christian book, “No Greater Love, No Greater Sacrifice: A Collection of Poetic Psalms” by Milwaukee resident and techie Jeremiah Stephens is a collection of short verses dedicated to supporting, inspiring and leading men and women in their daily struggles.
“No Greater Love, No Greater Sacrifice” is a collection of poems written in a popular, conventional style. The verses are differently structured, and the lyrics easy to understand for everyone. The messages are evangelical, theologically correct and culturally easily relatable. Also included are real-life short stories to go along with these themes.
Trials and tribulations aren’t new, and in fact, Jesus told the world about them a long time back. He also left an important truth to remember: our struggles will not overcome us. Some in the Church also struggle with their crisis in faith.
“I believe these poems will inspire you, no matter where you may find yourself in life, as they will serve to remind you that you are somebody because God values you!” says Jeremiah.
The poetry in the book is derived from and written at key points in the author’s life. Each poem is like a little source of inspiration that will keep the reader going through dark times. The focus is on salvation, and some pieces are good enough to be sung like contemporary Gospel songs.
“We live in a world that does not value human dignity, a world that treats people as if they were commodities! But I hope to introduce you through these writings, to a higher love. It is my desire that you learn to see yourself through the eyes of God rather than through the eyes of the world!” says Jeremiah.
The current work is Jeremiah’s most personal work and there will be more to come. Before this, Jeremiah has published, “Glaring Eyes. A Solemn Heart: A Collection of Poems” (2014).
Published by CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, “No Greater Love, No Greater Sacrifice: A Collection of Poetic Psalms” is available from Amazon.
