So, while clients were not going to the best men’s hair salon in New York City, they were still generating revenue for the business through e-commerce sales.
What also helped Artisan Barber make it through 2020 without having to shut down permanently was the consistent content with their clientele. Many other small businesses took this route as well by crafting monthly newsletter emails to their clients as well remaining active on social media with interesting content that would appeal to them. In the case of Artisan Barber, the content ranged from at-home haircuts to learning how to do a beard trim.
These tactics are what aided Artisan Barber in making it to 2021. These are also strategies that are still practiced at the Manhattan salon today as the climate the world is currently living in is still an uncertain one.
