A business profile gives the public a quick look into a firm, providing a general idea of a firm’s services and what area of the law they specialize in. It can also showcase a firm’s strengths and its track record for success. But not all business profiles online are created equal. In fact, many are not very effective at all, making it difficult for a firm to choose one that can reach the public and drum up new business.
The team at Case Engine, a public relations and digital marketing firm for lawyers, sat down with Ryan Chalik of Chalik & Chalik Injury Lawyers in Plantation, Florida, to discuss online business profiles and how a firm’s online profile relates to their image and brand.
Creating a Better Online Presence
Accident victims who have never hired an attorney before often rely on the internet to provide a wide range of information on a firm, namely, the firm’s track record and reputation. Most potential clients will immediately focus on a firm’s reviews to glean what information they can concerning how communicative an attorney was and what they can expect in terms of success. Many firms and businesses all over the country are well-aware of how important client feedback is, which is why it’s so important for clients to leave these reviews. It’s a great way to share positive experiences and to inform the public of what they can anticipate when they work with a particular firm. At Case Engine, we sat down with Ryan Chalik, to discuss his thoughts on how impactful and important he felt online reviews on Google My Business were to his firm. Chalik responded that he has seen firsthand how important it is to have reviews online. He noted that more and more law firms are utilizing online reviews to help drive business and create a better online presence.
When asked whether or not Google My Business served as a good source of business generation to his Google My Business locations, Chalik stated “It has been, but it’s hard to quantify it because again, we’re doing pay-per-click and SEO.” Along with the local service ads, there has been a multitude of ways people are finding their firm.
In many instances signing up with certain platforms for an online business profile may be very frustrating and can seem like a waste of time and energy. Once you do find an online profile that can reach potential clients in need of legal representation, the payoff can be huge. The problem for many firms around the country is seeing these types of results and knowing for certain whether or not their profile is reaching its intended audience.

To learn more about his area of focus and the type of caseloads Chalik normally handles, we asked Chalik for a little background on his firm and what area of law the firm specializes in “We do plaintiff’s personal injury. It’s my wife and I and we do anything from car accidents and slip and falls, to medical malpractice and defective products. We’ve done defective tires, we’ve done birth injuries, we’ve done a lot of water sport things for Florida in terms of parasail and jet skiing, and boat accidents. Now we’re doing this whole COVID cruise line thing. We’ve done a zip-line case on a cruise ship that was a very big case. So, that’s mostly what we do, and we only work for plaintiffs, we only work for victims, we never work for insurance companies.” At Chalik & Chalik Injury Lawyers, many potential clients can find a firm that believes in working for the injured victim, not the insurance company that often tries to take advantage of accident victims in their time of need. With this type of moral fortitude, it comes as no surprise that the firm is so successful.
