Trashless, a zero-waste grocery delivery service based in Austin, TX is pleased to announce that Detroit Piston and former University of Texas Longhorn, Cory Joseph, has joined Trashless as an investor and a member of the Trashless Zero-Waste Advisory Board.
Trashless, “The Milkman for Everything,” is a clean technology company with the goal of eliminating a significant portion of the many million pounds of household trash headed to Austin’s landfills every year. It plans to replicate its model of high quality, affordable, sustainably produced groceries delivered in zero-waste packaging across cities throughout the United States, Canada and the around world.
Cory Joseph has a history of helping provide underserved communities healthy food; Joseph is a longtime ambassador of Isthmus, a Canadian charity providing meals to children living in poverty. As his dreams continue to extend beyond the basketball court, eliminating a significant amount of trash that goes to landfills, waterways and oceans, is just another step in his mission to be the best he can be on and off the court.
“Refill Not Landfill! Trash has become a worldwide issue and I’m happy to do my small part with this issue which affects people globally,” says Cory Joseph.
Amongst others, Joseph will be joined on Trashless’s Zero-Waste Advisory Board by:
– Dr. Michael K. Dorsey, an environmental scientist, advocate, scholar, and entrepreneur. Dr. Dorsey is a co-founder and principal of Around the Corner Capital, an energy advisory and impact finance platform.
– Dianna Cohen, Co-Founder and CEO of Plastic Pollution Coalition, a global alliance working to stop plastic pollution.
Yogesh Sharma, CEO of Trashless, is pleased to have Cory Joseph join the Trashless team. “Cory’s investment continues to validate our zero-waste affordable model for everyone. Cory is a great role model and we are excited about the opportunity to work together to help create a Trashless World.”
Yogesh also looks forward to Dr. Michael K. Dorsey and Dianna Cohen joining Joseph on Trashless’s Zero-Waste Advisory Board. “With the 51st anniversary of Earth Day being this week, having such esteemed environmentalists and advocates joining Trashless just goes to show what a worldwide issue we are helping to combat.”
Trashless is a zero-waste, local grocery delivery service that is making modern, sustainable lifestyles easy and affordable. By eliminating the use of single-use packaging, and focusing on local supply-chains, Trashless is upending the traditionally wasteful grocery system.
