The 2021 Wes Lake Cybersecurity Conference kicked off in Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang province on April 24, with a focus on the topics of cyber security and digital reform.
The conference is being held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center and includes a main forum, 15 sub-forums, an exhibition on cyber security and a themed concert.
Themed on “Cybersecurity – the foundation of digital reform”, the three-day annual event has attracted academicians, experts and scholars, industry elites and government officials to share their experience in digital reform.
A dialogue on cyber security has already proved a highlight for this year. It was attended by four academicians, including Shen Changxiang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yin Hao from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Jian of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Canadian Academy of Engineering’s Song Liang. They had in-depth discussions on the fields of data security, new smart city development and the industrial Internet.
In addition, industrial insiders and officials were invited to interpret national standards and policies about cyber security during the event.
Several white papers on the security index of new types of intelligent cities and the cyber security of unmanned aerial vehicles have also been released.
The conference, which held its first edition in 2012, has become a landmark event in China’s cyber security sector. This year’s edition was co-sponsored by the Cyberspace Administration of Zhejiang, the Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Public Security, the Zhejiang Communications Administration and the Hangzhou government.
