GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA – August 18, 2021 – In Blossom and Bloom, bestselling author and OBGYN Dr. Cecilia helps daughters and their parents communicate more openly about the journey from puberty to womanhood. This easy go-to guidebook facilitates a factual and timely conversation between guardians/moms and their daughters about the female body while demystifying myths and increasing confidence in making gynecological healthcare decisions.
“I believe if every step of the female growth journey is properly prepared for with a factual knowledge base AND celebrated with practical and luxurious accessories, rather than being something whispered about like a mysterious secret, more women will feel comfortable, and find value, in their own bodies,” says Dr. Cecilia.
The topics covered in Blossom and Bloom, from body development and periods to the often-awkward conversations, guide parents of pubescent Blossoms to tackle these matters so that their daughters feel more confident asking questions and growing with their bodies. Written in friendly language bursting with fact-based information, Dr. Cecilia walks her readers through options for regulating menstrual periods, provides instructions for performing a home self-exam, and much more to ensure that teen girls and their parental figures are ready for the intriguing journey of puberty.
Blossom and Bloom is a much-needed tool for fostering communication during the most formative years of a girl’s life. “This journey is a miraculous and exciting one, one that is to be celebrated and not dreaded. Revel in it.”
