1. Can the mask be washed and reused?

Can’t! Masks are generally non-woven fabric + filter layer + non-woven fabric structure. The filter fiber in the middle must be kept dry to rely on the electrostatic adsorption capacity of filtration, so medical masks will be added with an impermeable layer, to prevent saliva or body fluid splash to protect the filter layer in the middle. Therefore, washing or spraying disinfectant, alcohol, or even heating will only destroy the protection of the mask, and the loss is outweighs the gain.

2. Can wearing more layers of masks protect people more?

Wearing a mask is not about wearing several layers, the key is to wear the right! In fact, the instructions on the mask are very clear: “Press firmly on the nose clip to form a good fit.” This is very important. If people can’t get a good fit on people face, don’t enter the contaminated area. The most stringent is to wear a headband for a tightness test, and adjust it until the bitter smell is gone. If people wear a mask inside and then cover N95, the closeness is destroyed, the protection is equal to doing nothing, but also aggravate breathing difficulties.

3. About the classification of masks

There are many kinds of masks. In terms of design, the wearer’s own protective ability is ranked (from highest to lowest) : N95 Mask > Surgical Mask > Common Disposable Mask > Common Cotton Mask.

2. Different filtration efficiency. The mask KN90 can filter more than 90% of particulate matter; The KN95 mask can filter more than 95 percent of particulate matter.

3. Different air permeability. The more efficient a mask is, the less breathable it is. Therefore, the KN90 has better air permeability than the KN95.

4. KN90 and KN95 which can be antivirus?

It’s all preventable. In the case of face mask shortage, the KN90 rating can fully meet the requirements of ORIENT non-medical staff. KN90 and KN95 are only mask filtering grades, not mask models. The two are just different filtering levels, but for the general public, the KN90 is also available. At the same time, the higher the filtration efficiency, the worse the air permeability. Usually, the KN95 series of masks are for industrial use. Due to the high protection level, the air permeability of the mask is not good, and it will easily cause discomfort if worn for a long time.
