St. Clairsville, OH, OHIO – February 28, 2022 – Emily Shortall ofSt. Clairsville, OH has been honored with a nomination for the 2022 Go Red Women of Impact Campaign. Shortall has brought together a team focused on preventing heart disease and stroke by increasing fitness. The honoree advocates for an active lifestyle and sports for all females, children and seniors. Her team is “putting energy” into encouraging school girls in K-5 to participate in sports and continue playing sports for the long term with the goal of lifetime heart health and general fitness.
“I am so excited to be nominated for the Go Red Women of Impact campaign,” said Shortall. “As part of this year’s class of Change Makers, I’ve brought together a team working to make the most significant impact possible for the cause of women’s health. We are concerned about why girls, in particular, don’t continue in sports. We hope to partner with other organizations to break these barriers. Our team is raising much-needed funds for the American Heart Association to improve the health of our communities. I hope we can count on your support.”
Every year, a select group of nominees with passion, drive and community service is recognized to be a part of the Go Red heart health initiative. They bring together their own network to form an impact team, then set goals and raise funds. After the campaign, this special group of women will be celebrated for the overall impact they have on the Go Red mission and community. Notably, the woman who brings her network together and demonstrates the largest impact will be named the local winner of the 2022 Woman of Impact Award.
