New Jersey, United States – A new Children’s illustrations-based book, “Ellie Finds a New Family,” addresses parents that aim to adopt pets for their children. Mark Salmon, a first-time book author, uses shared experiences that he and his wife went through after rescuing an abandoned cat to captivate and inspire parents and children towards pet adoption and rescue activities.

The book “Ellie Finds a New Family” talks about the need to rescue animals as our contribution to making the world a better place. It targets the children’s demographic to develop a sense of empathy and love towards animals as an investment in a more empathic generation. 

The author attempts to engage parents and children towards pet adoption and uses lighthearted illustrations emphasizing what good human intervention brings in the face of animal cruelty. 

Mark was quoted saying, “Parents should use this book to nurture a feeling of empathy in their children towards animals. The book is an attempt to teach children about love, affection and the art of coexistence”.
