Features Of Indian Business Visa:
- Indian business visa is valid for one year, but you can stay up to 180 days during the validity period of 1 year. There’s no option to get a longer or shorter duration of validity.
- It allows multiple entries during the validity period.
- You can attend business seminars, business meetings, trade fairs, exhibitions, start a new business, deliver lectures, etc., with an Indian business visa.
- Indian business visa holders can enter from 28 airports and five seaports and exit from any approved Immigration Check Posts (ICP).
Things to Remember Before applying for Indian Business Visa:
- Your passport must have a validity of 6 months while applying for the visa.
- If required, officers may ask for proof of sufficient funds for a visit.
- Official, diplomatic passport holders, cannot apply for business visas.
- Indian business visa holders are not allowed to enter India by road. You can only enter India through airways and seaways with an Indian business visa.
- During your visit to India, you’re not allowed to visit restricted, protected, and military cantonment areas.
- You cannot cancel, convert or extend an Indian business visa.
Requirements for Indian Business Visa
Besides general information like personal information and biometrics, these are requirements for an Indian business visa.
- A valid passport with at least six months of validity. You’ll have to carry your passport and the visa during your visit to India.
- Detailed information about the purpose of the visit like name of company/organization, website of company/organization, etc. Don’t fill in the wrong information regarding the visit; otherwise, you may face legal action in India.
- Passport size photograph of the applicant. Photographs shouldn’t be too old.
- A scanned copy of your passport.
- Business card, email signature, or invitation letter of the organization you’re going to visit.
How to Apply For an Indian Business e-Visa?
- Visit the official website of Indian visas online.
- Click on the “Apply here for e-visa.” You will see this option in the bottom-left menu.
- Fill in all the information asked in the form and click “Continue.”
- On the second page, upload all your required documents like passport copy, photograph, etc.
- Now pay the eVisa fee online using a Credit / Debit card / Payment Wallet
- You will receive ETA Online Electronic Travel Authorization/ETA. It Will be sent to your email.
- Fly To India, print ETA, and present at Immigration Check Post where eVisa will be stamped on passport.
Note: As of now, only citizens of the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, and France can apply for an Indian visa. Citizens from other countries can apply for the visa online, but they must visit the Indian embassy/mission for document verification and in-person visa interview.
