Ireland-based fast-rising dance music producer, Lee James, signs a new record deal with ffrr – Parlophone as the “To The Ones” single continues to enjoy massive airplay
17-year-old Limerick native, Lee James, looks set to take the listening experience of music lovers to another level, as the gifted music producer and DJ recently penned a new deal with ffrr – Parlophone. Described as one of the most exciting young dance music producers coming out of Ireland, Lee is pushing boundaries in the music scene, with his single titled To The Ones peaking at a quarter of a million Spotify streams and 2.1 million hits on SoundCloud. The track has also been featured on several shows, including the popular Love Island.
The music industry continues to evolve, thanks to the emergence of talented artists as well as tech-driven solutions to bring records closer to listeners. However, Lee looks set to deliver a unique experience to music lovers, honing his production skills starting at the age of 13, progressing to Logic and continuously learning, listening, and practicing to perfect his craft.
Lee has shown his mastery of music making, with his works becoming more prominent after uploading the results of his late-night bedroom sessions. He personally managed the signing of his first official release with Open House Records UK, subsequently catching the attention of legendary Irish DJ and Producer John Gibbons, who signed him to his influential BLINDsided Label, home to the likes of Marty Guilfoyle, Robbie G (of Belters Only) Kyle Meehan, and Welshy. His debut single helped to increase his number of followers and streams across all platforms.
Lee James announced himself to the world with his subsequent single, To The Ones, a track built from a vocal pack he found on Splice. Gaining over a million streams on SoundCloud alone, To The Ones is on its way to being a club and specialist radio hit, attracting local and national press coverage in Ireland, and even catching the attention of LadBible who have been fascinated by the level of the music production.
The fast-rising Limerick producer continues to enjoy support from Cool FM, RTE 2FM and SPIN, amongst others, winning the Producer of The Year award in a public vote in Ireland following a huge campaign by LoveLimerick.ie. Lee has had a really exciting summer touring around Ireland and headlining in counties such as Dublin, Roscommon, Tullamore and Longford, with bookings to perform at two of Ireland’s biggest festivals – Longitude and Electric Picnic all at only 17 years of age.
Lee James is only 17 and is just getting started as he continues to show the skills, determination, and smarts to make an impact.
