EL CAJON, CA – On Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., children and their parents residing at East County Transitional Living Center will be treated to a fun and joy-filled morning thanks to the generosity of caring members of the community. The new ECTLC CEO Michael Branch, a retired SEAL and a former ECTLC program member, will serve as the MC. The Church of the Nativity in Rancho Santa Fe and the Swenson Children’s Foundation donate gifts. El Cajon Police Chief Mike Moulton and his police officers and Heartland Fire and Rescue Chief Steve Swaney and his firefighters pass out the beautifully wrapped presents.
Festive Christmas music will be performed by great friends of ECTLC, including El Cajon Deputy Mayor Michelle Metschel and her husband, Bob, Mr. Jonni, a professional musician, and Jo Alegria, a member of Cajon Valley Union School District Governing Board. Jose Sabedra, an exceptional seventh-grade student at Los Coches Middle School, will join them in singing. Karen Clark-Mejia, a Cajon Valley Union School District Governing Board member, will also attend.Many faith leaders participate, including Teaching Pastor Todd Molter from Legacy Church, Lead Pastor Mike Emery and Associate Pastor Jerry Phillips from Sonrise Church, and Pastor Bobby Yates from Luv on Fire. Also participating are Chuck Franklin, Rock Church Director of Development, and Deacon Keith Esshakifrom St. Peter Chaldean Catholic Cathedral.
