Stanley Simon, an evangelist and author, has just released his first book this month, entitled ‘The Lost Ship’ A Trilogy of the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Prodigal Son. The book presents an uncommon perspective that portrays the love and mercy of God in a Majestic manner to bring a fresh radiance to readers.
This book is a detailed discussion of the gospel of Luke, chapter 15, and contains three very familiar parables of Jesus, and there are three in a single chapter. At a fundamental level, a parable is a brief narrative intended to communicate a principle to be understood. It is a sermon of Jesus recorded by Luke. There are three different narrations: one about a lost sheep out of one hundred, one about a lost coin out of ten, and one about a lost son among the only two.
In all three incidents, Jesus tells different but similar stories in parables to the Pharisees and scribes. And this book discusses the in-depth accounts of these stories portrayed by Jesus in this chapter of the gospel of Luke.
In each of the parable narratives by Jesus, something is lost, forgotten, searched out, and recovered. Jesus is making a straightforward argument. He came to search for and locate it. He came to re-establish that which was gone. We are living in a world where we see more Pharisees among Christians than there were around Pilate.
If you are reading this book and feel that you have lost the whole fellowship and that the crowd is against keeping you away and maintaining a distance, I would like to tell you that Jesus loves you. He loves you and is here to take you out of the pit. And when he gathers you from the pit, even if there is anyone to fight against you, challenging your integrity, Jesus is here to fight for you. He will stand with you and redeem you.
The book is available in both e-book and paperback editions on Amazon, priced very affordably. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4BCPXB8/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1683221088&sr=8-1
Evangelist Stanley Simon is the founder and prelate of South Asian Evangelical Mission, one of the fastest growing church planters and social development movements established by like-minded evangelists in 2000. In his last two decades of missionary life, God sent him to nations in Africa, the Far East, the Middle East, North and South America, and cities in India to win souls and equip fellow workers. Due to some personal reasons, he is not functioning as the Director of SAEM to be involved in the day-to-day activities of the organisation but is actively involved in missions, trainings, and the equipping of evangelists wherever God sends him.
Laced with humour while tempered by life’s sobering realities, including hardships like cancer and renal failure, and much more, Stanley Simon’s inspiring sermons lead on an emotional exploration that spans the globe and intersects with world leaders as he strives to overcome challenges and serve some of the most vulnerable among us, the rejected and wounded. Stanley Simon has launched his first book, titled ‘The Lost Ship,” and there are two more titles by him to be released this year: ‘The Pearl’ and ‘Nothing is Impossible’.
Stanley Simon is married to Zeenath Stanley, blessed with two kids, Jennifer Sara Stanley and Joannes Simon Stanley, and lives in India.
