An Inspiring Indie Film Adaptation Project launches Kickstarter Campaign

Now Seeking Community Support via Kickstarter, This Project will Bring ‘Life in the Ghetto’ to Life from its Pages to the Screen!

Life in the Ghetto was an award-winning book from the 90s and it was written and illustrated by a then 13 year-old Anika D. Thomas. Anika is now reviving this classic book with a modern twist by turning it into an exciting new indie film. This modernized film adaptation project will turn this book into a modern indie movie and will give a new life to this amazing story. To produce and release this indie film, the Pennsylvania based American indie filmmaker is welcoming everyone to help him in raising funds and support in a recently launched crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. 

“Life in the Ghetto is a powerful and moving story about a young girl growing up in the Hill District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.” Said Anika D.
