Roseline Adebimpe Adewuyi, a Nigerian graduate student in French Literature from Purdue University, USA has been chosen to participate in the renowned United Nations Graduate Study Program held at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland. This highly competitive program attracts top graduate students from around the world, providing them with a unique opportunity to engage with UN practices and “International Geneva” through lectures, interactions with UN representatives, and visits to non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Out of over 800 applicants, Adewuyi was one of the 60 candidates selected for this prestigious program, representing 50 countries worldwide. As the sole Nigerian participant, she carries the responsibility of being an ambassador for her country throughout the duration of the program.
Adewuyi’s selection is a testament to her outstanding academic performance, active involvement in extracurricular activities, and potential impact on her future career. Her proficiency in French, a prerequisite for the program, played a pivotal role in her selection, as some discussions are conducted in French.
The two-week summer seminar promises to provide Adewuyi with invaluable insights into UN practices and foster a deeper understanding of global issues. She will have the opportunity to interact with representatives from various UN organizations and NGOs, enhancing her knowledge and expertise in the field of international relations.

Her contributions to community development during her National Youth Service Corps in Kwara State earned her a distinguished corps member award.
Recognized for her commitment and excellence, Adewuyi has been selected for fellowships and programs in several countries. Her accomplishments include being a member of the Commonwealth Youth Gender Equality Network, a ONE Champion, an MCW fellow, and a Dalai Lama Fellow.
