Famed orthodontist and innovator, Dr. William Clark, who established the first full-time orthodontic practice in Scotland in 1965, is set to release his new book “New Horizons in Life, Art & Poetry “.

Dr. Clark is globally recognized for his major contributions to orthodontics and functional therapy. However, his latest endeavor takes readers on a different journey. In “New Horizons in Life, Art & Poetry,” Dr. Clark explores the world of art and poetry, recounting his personal experiences with both disciplines.

“I am not an artist and have no formal training in art. My experience in art dates back to the 1980s when I followed the first part of a correspondence course on drawing and painting by the Paris ABC School of Art,” says Dr. Clark. “This book is about revisiting my artistic experience from the 1980s and expressing a personal perspective on life, art, and poetry.”

Despite his lack of formal training, Dr. Clark’s artistic journey was a personal adventure, filled with freedom of interpretation and expression. Through this book, readers will get a glimpse into this journey and the creative processes that inspire art and poetry.

The book also includes the showcasing of works by his son Alastair, a Master Printmaker at the Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop, adding another layer to this exploration of art and creativity.
