NEW ZEALAND VISA FROM MALAYSIA
Beginning October 1, 2019, Japanese visitors to New Zealand will be required to obtain an NZeTA. New Zealand has visa waiver arrangements with 190 countries, including Japan. Prior to their travel, all visa-exempt individuals, including transit passengers and employees of airlines and cruise ships, must complete an application for a New Zealand eTA. In July 2019, the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) introduced a visa-free travel program. Individuals traveling to Japan for leisure, business, or transportation purposes are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization. If you hold a Japanese passport and plan to visit New Zealand for a maximum of 90 days, it is mandatory to apply for an NZeTA online. If you wish to stay for an extended amount of time, you must apply for a visa. The New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority caters to international visitors who are in the country on holiday or for business meetings or other events. All you need is a valid passport and visa, and the country is ready to take you. Visa-free access is permitted for tourism purposes and business activities. The NZeTA is electronically linked to the holder’s passport. The NZeTA allows Malaysian citizens to travel to New Zealand without a visa. Malaysian citizens wishing to stay in New Zealand for more than 3 months or for other travel purposes require a visa. The online NZeTA application process is quick and easy. The application process only takes a few minutes and can be done from home.

Visitors from Norway are required to possess an NZeTA, an electronic visa waiver, in order to gain entry into New Zealand. This requirement also applies to nationals of 190 visa-free countries, including those holding Norwegian passports. The implementation of the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) scheme took place in July 2019. Additionally, the Visa Waiver Scheme, introduced in 2019 for Norwegian nationals and New Zealanders traveling to other countries, grants Norwegian passport holders the privilege of entering New Zealand for a duration of 90 days without the need to obtain a New Zealand visa from Norway. This scheme allows eligible individuals to visit New Zealand for purposes such as leisure, business, or transit, without the necessity of applying for a visa at an embassy. Norwegian passport holders can easily obtain a valid New Zealand eTA before entering the country. The NZeTA grants multiple entry to holders up to 90 consecutive days each within its 2-year validity provided the passport used on the application form is still valid. Because the travel authorization is an electronic document, Norwegians can apply for an NZeTA online, eliminating the need to visit an embassy or consulate.

Citizens from 190 countries are not required to obtain a visa when traveling to New Zealand; however, they are required to apply for a New Zealand ETA. The New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) program was launched in July 2019, enabling eligible citizens to visit New Zealand for tourism, business, or transit purposes without the need to undergo the cumbersome visa application process at an embassy. The New Zealand ETA is valid for a duration of two years and permits multiple short-term stays. To obtain an approved New Zealand ETA via email, applicants must also pay a processing fee referred to as the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL). Individuals planning to stay in New Zealand for an extended period of time for work or study purposes should seek further information from the nearest New Zealand Embassy or Consulate. Because the eTA is electronically linked to a specific passport, travellers with multiple passports should use the same passport that they used to complete the eTA application to go to New Zealand.
