Citizens of Latvia, the US, Luxembourg, Macanese, and Maltese can now apply for visas to New Zealand online, thanks to a streamlined process.

The New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA), a program that waives visa requirements, went into effect in July 2019. It allows eligible people to visit New Zealand for transit, business, or pleasure and removes the hassle of getting a visa at an embassy.

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR LATVIAN CITIZENS

An electronic visa waiver known as NZeTA is necessary for tourists from Latvia to New Zealand. For citizens of the 190 nations that do not require visas, including holders of Latvian passports, visa waivers are necessary. The New Zealand eTA is valid for two years and allows for numerous entries for brief stays. To obtain an approved eTA for New Zealand through email, citizens must also pay a processing cost known as the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL).

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR US CITIZENS

All foreign nationals, including US citizens wishing to travel to New Zealand, must have a valid visa endorsed on their passports or have the New Zealand ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) if eligible under the visa waiver program. Only Australian citizens with no criminal or deportation records from any country can enter New Zealand for tourism, study, and work without a visa. Australian permanent residents are required to obtain a New Zealand ETA before traveling.

The New Zealand Tourist ETA also known as New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA), is an electronic New Zealand visa waiver that gives US passengers the permit to enter New Zealand multiple times without a New Zealand visa USA.

Travelers can apply for the ETA online or through authorized agents without visiting the New Zealand Embassy. Unlike a visa, making an appointment or presenting the original documents at the Embassy or any New Zealand electronic travel authority is unnecessary. However, this privilege does not apply to all nationalities. There are about 60 countries that are eligible to enter New Zealand with the ETA approval, including US citizens.

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR LUXEMBOURG CITIZENS

The Electronic Travel Authority or New Zealand eTA or Online New Zealand Visa is a visa waiver system for those countries that have the special right of being Visa Free, in other words, do not need to visit the New Zealand embassy. Citizens will be pleased to know that as Luxembourg citizens, they qualify for NZeTA.

Luxembourg citizens can travel to New Zealand without requiring a visa and stay in New Zealand for 90 days or 3 months. This special treatment of applications for expedited travel to New Zealand is known as authorization or eTA or Electronic Travel Authorisation. This eTA was introduced in 2019 for the comfort of Luxembourg citizens.

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR MACANESE CITIZENS

The New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) is an electronic visa waiver program that took effect in July 2019. Citizens of 190 visa-free countries, including holders of Macanese passports, must get visa exemptions. Macanese citizens can travel to New Zealand without requiring a visa and stay in New Zealand for 90 days or 3 months.
