About the author:
Dinorah Briceno is a dedicated scholar and practitioner in social welfare, currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Yeshiva University. Her work primarily explores the mental health challenges within Latin communities and the intersection of social justice and wellness. As a psychotherapist and site coordinator for a community mental health agency, Dinorah is devoted to advocating for vulnerable groups to ensure they receive comprehensive care.
She earned a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University in 2021, alongside a trauma certificate, and holds two additional master’s degrees in language education. These qualifications highlight her commitment to using language as a tool for empowerment and fostering cross-cultural understanding. With a Bachelor of Education from UCAB and over 16 years of experience, Dinorah has specialized in supporting individuals with special needs through various certifications, including one in Autism Education. Her expertise spans assisting those with conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHD, addictions, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, and ODD, spanning all age ranges.
