Film Score Composer Randy Edelman Celebrates Movie Releases & New Music

Multi-Award honored Film Score Composer Randy Edelman celebrates a flurry of releases including Ghostbusters ll documentary “Too Hot To Handle” debuting at Tribeca Film Festival on June 6, 2025 & “Love Me Dead” starring Dove Cameron to be unveiled in theaters on August 8, 2025.

The highly anticipated Ghostbusters ll documentary “TOO HOT TO HANDLE: Remembering Ghostbusters ll” is set to debut June 6, 2025 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The film directed by UK director Anthony Bueno, written by Claire Bueno & Anthony Bueno, and produced by Claire Bueno is a full-length feature and companion to the documentary “CLEANING UP THE TOWN: Remembering Ghostbusters.” The film will feature interviews with Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, the late Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis, and others. The soundtrack was created by Randy Edelman who scored “Ghostbusters ll.”

In an article from “Deadline” producer Claire Bueno stated “We couldn’t be more honored to have Randy on board.” Additionally, she added “He’s a legend and we had such fun when we interviewed him for the doc. So, when he said ‘yes’, we couldn’t believe our luck. He will truly be an asset and help us elevate Too Hot To Handle.”

Quite coincidentally Randy Edelman will be performing his solo show at Lincoln Center on June 6, 2025, on the day of the film’s debut. Also coincidentally, Randy will be releasing new music from his new album “Waltzing On A High Wire” on Tribeca Records in May. The track to be unveiled is entitled “21 Again/Coming Of Age” and is the lead song on the album.

The new Randy Edelman score to Josh Webber’s psychological thriller “Love Me Dead” starring Dove Cameron (Descendants, Disney’s Liv and Maddie), RJ Mitte (AMC’s Breaking Bad, Switched At Birth) and Robert LaSardo (Hard to Kill) is highly anticipated and the film is expected to be released nationwide in theaters August 8, 2025. The film is also expected to stream on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hayu and Crave. The film follows a mortician and a waitress who seek revenge after a terrifying incident. The movie explores how isolation can shape one’s actions.

For Edelman these are a postscript to his released soundtrack and score to “The Beast Inside”, the exorcism-based thriller released this past December on Amazon Prime, director Ate DeJong’s Nashville saga “Heart Strings”, his feature in Variety Magazine and his flawless performance this past December at Carnegie Hall. He also won Best Record Producer for Waltzing On A High Wire from the BroadwayWorld Awards, and Album of the Year from the New England Music Hall Of Fame, both in 2025.
