Earlier this year, Mario Barahona of Hempstead, Long Island, New York, decided to launch his own book publishing company entitled Mbarahona Book Series. With this new company, Barahona hopes to provide new and upcoming authors with the opportunity to have their work professionally published.
“In today’s world, it can be nearly impossible for new authors to get published.” explained Mario Barahona, when asked about the reasoning behind the launch of his new publishing company. “Big names in the industry such as Harper Collins and Penguin are notorious for not giving new authors a shot at writing. In the rare case that they do take on new talent, it takes several years for the work to actually get published. That is why I am taking it upon myself to represent new writers. At Mbarahona Book Series, we’re making dreams come true.”
The team at Mbarahona Book Series encourages authors from all types of genres (including fiction, non-fiction and erotica) to send in their story plots, outlines or rough drafts. Mario Barahona believes that he has a knack for finding new and hidden talent in the industry. He personally reads through each outline that is sent to the company. If he thinks that the author would be successful, the company will take them on as an author.
MBarahona Book Series proudly publishes their authors through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. This platform grants new and hidden writers with the opportunity to reach millions of readers in a very short amount of time.
Since their launch earlier this year, MBarahona Book Series has already taken on several new authors including the noted Jim Roland, who is the author behind the upcoming and much-anticipated Mafia 4 Series, which will be a story of personal growth and one man’s rise in the Mafia after experiencing heartbreak. The first book in the series is titled Cross My Heart and will be published soon.

Apart from Jim Roland, MBarahona Book Series is working with other authors such as Chris Thompson, Pamela Morris and Lindsay Redifer, who just finished writing a romantic novel that will be published online in the near future. The company hopes to take on many new authors within the next year.
