Tis’ the season to dig through the closet for the perfect holiday attire. In this case, it’s the best ugly Christmas sweater.

Chesapeake Home Health Care is hosting an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is open to clients, staff and the general public.

“Each year Chesapeake Home Health Care shows appreciation to our special needs families and individuals, skilled nurses, case managers and doctors by hosting a Christmas festival in the community that is patient and family-centered,” said co-owner Laseandia Harley and president Erica Paul. “This year our holiday party includes an elaborate brunch menu, Santa Claus, a DJ, and games, gifts and door prizes for all attendees.”

A special prize will be awarded for the best ugly Christmas sweater. There will also be a Prize Wheel for the chance to win gift cards and other prizes.

The brunch menu includes shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, African cuisines, fruits, pastries, mimosas and more.

A magical guest of honor, Santa Claus, will be in attendance to listen to Christmas wish lists and take photos with children and children at heart. Festive music will fill the air as a DJ plays all the holiday favorites. There will be plenty of space for those who would like to dance.

“It’s going to be a great event and we are happy to open our office to spread love and holiday cheer,” Harley and Paul said.
