African talent recruiting platform – Tamborin connects companies to hire African tech talents for remote jobs

Abraham Iyiola has launched a start-up enterprise, Tamborin, A remote jobs platform that connects African technical talents with opportunities across the globe.

Following the Covid-19 outbreak, recent events and indices point to the fact that remote working is not only possible but that it could easily be the future of work-life. With his remote jobs community, Abraham wants to make sure gifted Africans are not left behind as the world progresses with a remote workforce.

Speaking about his platform, Abraham said: “We built the first remote job platform to help African tech talents get access to remote opportunities all over the world. We want to target potential employers to let them know we are the ideal partner for their technical hires. Our company website is www.tamborin.io, and we have an active blog and a community of over 25,000 members where we share information and resources daily on how to land a remote job, and how to excel in our careers.”

In most parts of the world, especially the United States, Europe and even Asia, hundreds of jobs are going unfilled because of a lack of talent. Abraham wants to bridge the gap by providing technical skills from Africa: Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, etc., to offer their services to clients from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom & Europe. There are currently more than 700,000 technical talents on the African continent and not all of them will get the right opportunity from companies in Africa. Time to bring African talents to the global stage.

Tamborin has an edge over other hiring platforms Due to its community and personalized support it gives to its members., for even though more companies are open to hiring remote more than ever, opportunities are still limited for African professionals. “The economy is not growing at the same rate as the youth population and most companies cannot hire or pay well enough for technical talents”, remarked Abraham Iyiola.

Big things start small. The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. Abraham Iyiola and Tamborin, though still new, have already set up the right tools and taken the necessary steps to succeed. It’s only a matter of time before the enterprise becomes Africa’s biggest remote jobs community and indeed the world at large.
