Africanstory.Tv Celebrates African Heritage Month With A Live Storytelling Broadcast

Africanstory.TV has on the 25th of September 2021, hosted a live storytelling broadcast featuring master storyteller Kewulay Kamara to mark and celebrate this year’s African Heritage Month. The event which was hosted by Busie Matsiko-Andan saw the Master Storyteller render a traditional African tale to the native musical rhythms played live on the Bala and kora.

According to the host, telling such stories through their original African mediums is an essential part of the mission to preserve African culture.

“It is important to convey and preserve our African stories, history, and culture for the future generations that are our kids, and their kids!! We don’t want our stories to be diminished and extinct like the dinosaurs,” Busie adds.

The Internationally renowned poet and storyteller from Sierra Leone – Kewulay Kamara, has also expressed his delight and admiration for Dante Kaba and the Africanstory.TV crew who successfully put together a splendid storytelling event.

“It is an honor to participate in the Africa Story Time that is a great resource for those in appreciating the vital word action that is storytelling writ large. I am particularly humbled by the support we received in production and the wonderful supportive audience/ participants in our virtual courtyard.
