May 10, 2019 – Denver, Colorado – Alisha Smith, a native of Denver, Colorado is excited to announce the launch of her self worth course, Truly You.
Truly You was designed by Alisha herself, who is a survivor of domestic violence. Going through it first hand, in a society that silences things like abuse, and trauma, Alisha realized there is a huge voice that needs to be heard. Survivors re-enter society after a tumultuous relationship ends, often with legal issues, newly acquired debt, homelessness, poverty, etc. Survivors lose themselves during the relationship, and even more-so while they are trying to pick up the pieces and put their lives back together.
A common misconception is that you find peace once the toxic relationship ends. That is often not the case. Survivors are saddled with the consequences of that relationship and since we are in a society that is so quick to judge, finding help and support regarding domestic violence is often embarrassing for the survivor. Friends and family members always ask, “Why did you stay with him/her for so long.” There is no easy way to answer that. There is no easy way to explain anything regarding abuse and trauma. So we often keep it inside.
The purpose of Truly You is self discovery, self worth, and self love. The goal of Alisha’s coaching sessions is for survivors to identify who they are at their core, accept who they are at their core, and love who they are at their core. Alisha is a big believer in acceptance and love, instead of trying to make huge, non genuine changes in hope of finding that love. Once you genuinely accept yourself and love yourself for who you are, the right situations and relationships (both friends and romantic partners) will come to you in their purest forms.
Finding happiness in in your roots and watching your life bloom is Alisha’s favorite mantra.
While Truly You is designed for domestic violence survivors, anyone is welcome. The courses are all about self love and acceptance. Alisha has helped those who have overcome suicidal tendencies, childhood abuse, traumatic events, PTSD, etc. In her coaching courses, Alisha assesses each person on an individual basis, going over current situations, future goals, etc to custom tailor her sessions to meet the individuals
