New York, NY – September 11, 2020 – Forty-three years ago, working as the first Black agent for super agency International Creative Management (ICM), representing KC & the Sunshine Band, Natalie Cole, Steven McQueen, Al Green, Raquel Welch, the Ohio Players, Engelbert Humperdinck, The Fifth Dimension, Staples Singers, Margaux Hemingway, Dick Gregory and more wasn’t enough. Bill Minson was confronted with a call to minister and very reluctantly began to study for ordination to enter the Gospel ministry.
Reverend Minson formed TUDAY Ministries (The Urban Domestic Affairs of the Young) in 1979 to motivate, inform, and inspire youth. For over four decades he has worked, and continues to work to engage and positively focus American youth on becoming productive citizens who can provide public service beneficial to their communities and country. Rev. Minson has lived a life of service. He served as a Red Cross and Salvation Army chaplain following the 9/11 attacks and continues to provide spiritual care, counsel, advocacy, and support to First Responders and their families following unthinkable tragedies around our country.
Rev. Minson produced and directed the documentary SAVE THE BRAVE, which helped secure passage in the U.S. Congress of the Zadroga Bill to assist sick and dying 9/11 responders and their families.
During the annual Oklahoma City ceremonies last April, Rev. Minson was invited to serve as chaplain for the Las Vegas field office of the United States Secret Service. He was recently reassigned to USSS headquarters in Washington, D.C. office.
Honoring his oath to God that he made prior to his ordination, Rev. Minson has never sent out a donation envelope, passed a collection plate, or posted a GoFundMe page in TUDAY Spiritual Ministries 41 years of service to God’s people. God has supplied the resources for TUDAY’s work as promised through scripture.
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
This September 11th marks the 19th New York City ceremony that Rev. Minson will participate in with families. His profound impact on these families has been instrumental in the healing process for almost two decades.
