American Actor Randall Franks joins the ensemble cast of the upcoming film “The Crickets Dance” based on the Southern novel by Deborah Robillard.
Former NBC and CBS actor Randall Franks, 2019 Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee, recently completed work with director Veronica Robledo filming his role as “Dr. J.A. Anderson” in the upcoming film “The Crickets Dance” based on the novel by Deborah Robillard. Franks is best known for his role as “Officer Randy Goode” on TV’s “In the Heat of the Night,” airing currently on MeTV.

“It’s a wonderful ensemble cast bringing this story to life,” Franks said. “Actors William Mark McCollough, KateLynn E. Newberry and Jamie Butler infused our 1840 period scenes with their amazing talents providing a wonderful ensemble to work within.”

Franks shot on location at Myrtle Grove in Richmond Hill, Ga. The film is expected for release in 2020.

His latest charity musical release for the Share America Foundation, Inc. is the June 2019 AirPlay Direct #1 “Americana Youth of Southern Appalachia” featuring his single and new video “What About All These American Flags”  honoring veterans.
