Award-winning writer-director Nikolay Lebedev’s (‘Legend No. 19’) explosive Russian blockbuster ‘THE CREW’ (originally titled ‘Ekipazh’) will disembark to the U.S. for VOD platforms on June 25th, brought exclusively by TriCoast Entertainment, reports Back to the Movies.
Summary: When a young pilot, Alexey Gushchin (Danila Kozlovsky), is discharged from Russia’s military service and aircraft school, he receives a second chance to redeem his aviator dreams by joining Russia’s passenger airplane program alongside the firm crew commander, Leonid Zinchenko (Vladimir Mashkov) and the beautiful co-pilot, Alexandra (Agne Grudyte). But, when the aircraft’s radio receiver alerts them of a disastrous and catastrophic erupting volcano “reducing a city to ashes”, the team must learn to work together to fulfill their courageous and selfless roles as pilots – to execute a successful rescue mission to land safely and evacuate the survivors.
