About the Author

Dr. Sylvester Caraway Jr. is a retired USAF veteran with a distinguished service record from 1974 to 1994, holding the position of Ex-Combat Camera and being a 100% disabled veteran. He has led a dynamic life, from serving in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years as a combat cameraman to earning multiple degrees, including two MAs and a PhD in Philosophy with a minor in TV production.

He is the Founder, CEO, and President of several organizations, including The National Negro Youth Baseball League, the Military Youth Flag Football League, and the “US Military Combat Camera and Civilian War Correspondence History and Stories Museum.” Additionally, he leads the US Military Combat Camera Research Center and Executive Professional Investments LLC, and serves as Executive Director and Founder of the “Lucky 11 Entertainment Agency,” which provides talent for the USO and military bases globally.

An accomplished author and military historian, Dr. Caraway has written 10 books in 2023 and is currently working on over 126 additional titles. He founded “Help Vets,” an initiative to support veterans with mental and physical challenges. He has been featured in interviews discussing his works, including “From Slavery to Fighting for Recognition,” and his book on community television broadcasting, which is being adapted into a documentary by Disney/Warner.
