April 11th 2018 – New Rochelle, NY – Bennett Academy Of The Performing Arts invites the public to come and watch their off broadway musical and recital play, THE KING OF THE RODEO; which will be performed at Murphy Auditorium Iona College, NY on April 29th, 2018. The two-hour show will run from 2-4pm and 5-7pm respectively.
The play made its debut at the reputable, off broadway theater; American theater of Actors. The play will launch its Westchester theater run at the beautiful Murphy Auditorium in New Rochelle, which is part of the Iona College Campus The Musical is a story of love, family bonds, and forgiveness.
The King of The Rodeo covers the Civil War and post Civil War era and the Gold Rush to the West. There’s no better way to learn about history than watching it unfold before one’s very eyes. The Musical was written by playwright Andrea L. Bennett. The King of the Rodeo Musical comes to life, with a combination of music from Nashard Gales, Kat Spina and the wonderful acting and singing of the very talented cast of students and professional theater actors. Tickets for the show are sold at $40 and accommodates individuals from age 7 to adulthood.
Right after the Musical, the cast and playwright will hold an online interactive session, on the historical characters and events depicted and spoken of in the play.It is as the Musical’s writer and director, Andrea Bennett, puts it, “This show offers the best in Westchester County talent, our composers Nashard Gales hails from Mount Vernon, NY and singer songwriter Kat Spina hails from Valhalla.
