Fort Meade, Md. – Jun. 14, 2016 – Wi-Fi analyzer app Home WiFi Alert is introducing updates to its popular smartphone application.
The popular mobile app, which has quickly surpassed 500,000 active users, recently added new updates to improve the app’s usefulness and functionality. One major new feature is blacklist checking, which allows users to check all connections made to their mobile device against known malicious/reported IP addresses on 35 major blacklist databases. The new feature allows users to see if their device has been compromised with one click. When using this function, users will receive a display of each IP address connected to a mobile device and a result of either “safe” or “not safe.” If an IP is not safe, the user will be shown the IP address’s information and the program it’s running on.
In addition to the new blacklist checking feature, Home WiFi Alert now supports 14different languages. Another new feature includes a new useful function that notifies users when their homeWi-Fi stops working. This will help home users save on their data allowance by notifying them when they have been disconnected from their Wi-Fi and switched to cellular data.
Along with the introduction of these updates, the development team at Home WiFi Alert overhauled the application’s website (www.homewifialert.net),improving access to information about the Home WiFi Alert application and its uses.
Finally, reported issues and crashes have been resolved with the new and improved consolidated code. These changes will ensure the app runs smoothly.
“This is a big update that our users are going to find extremely helpful,” said Erich Krauz, developer of Home WiFi Alert. “Thanks to the wonderful feedback from our growing base of users, we are able to make this app the best Wi-Fi analyzer on the Google Play Store, helping more people protect their home Wi-Fi networks from thieves.”
