Bloomberg and Catalyst: two awards for Schneider Electric

SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC RECEIVES TWO MAJOR AWARDS FROM BLOOMBERG AND CATALYST FOR ITS COMMITMENT TO GENDER EQUALITY AND INCLUSION

Two major awards from Bloomberg and Catalyst for commitment and progress on gender equality and inclusion for Schneider Electric . In fact, the company was included for the second consecutive year in Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index and for the first time it received the Catalyst Award for companies that launch initiatives aimed at making workplaces safer and more inclusive, giving women space to grow up.

Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) – created in 2016 to provide managers and investors with comparative information on the level of gender equality in the largest financial services companies – has been extended to all industrial sectors since 2018 and 2019 Schneider Electric has been included on the list of 230 companies thanks to its commitment to gender inclusion and to promoting equality in the communities in which it operates.

The company, in fact, has promoted the application of a new policy on the issue of family leave (called Global Family Leave), the creation of a path to achieve gender pay equality worldwide. All these initiatives are an integral part of the Schneider Sustainability Impact sustainability report, which measures the company’s performance in terms of sustainable development.

The Catalyst Award rewards the most innovative organizational approaches, which bring verified and measurable results, accelerating the progress of the female condition through work inclusion. Schneider Electric is one of the four companies that received the award. The award was given for the holistic approach to gender inclusion that Schneider Electric India has taken to attract and retain female talent in the company.
