Borrego Springs Unified School District (BSUSD) is proud to launch their new independent study program. This program is open for 6-12th grade students, and is conducted online for flexibility. There are no fees for tuition, and students have the ability to catch up or graduate early. Students are still able to participate in sports, field trips, clubs, as well as attend their graduation from BSUSD.
The program offers online and in-person learning with next-generation digital curriculum. Students also have the opportunity for job training through BSUSD’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act partnerships, which allow students to earn credit while researching a potential new career. Students also receive free tutoring and one-on-one teacher mentoring.
Borrego Springs students can enjoy award-winning coursework that brings key concepts to life to help them master critical skills. It goes beyond alignment to deliver relevant content through exciting mediums such as video, virtual reality, learning games, and interactive illustrations. Students engage in a variety of virtual workbooks, course discussion boards, blogs, and other multimedia instruction.
The program is completely personalized, so students are able to work at their own pace, whenever and wherever they like. It operates on a year-round schedule so you’re able to enroll at any time. At Borrego Springs, students are able to earn a fully-accredited high school diploma that is transferable to a community college, university, the military, as well as prepare them to go directly into the workforce.
