The Canadian government created the eTA in 2015 to facilitate short-term foreign travel. As a citizen of the Philippines, you are not required to obtain a visa in order to travel to Canada. However, if you are traveling by air, it is necessary to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before your departure. The eTA is a multiple-entry permit that can be obtained online. Filipino visitors are required to apply for a Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) through the online application process. Once approved, they can travel to Canada without the need for a visa. The eTA allows Filipinos to stay in Canada for a maximum of six months per visit, for purposes such as vacation, family visits, business travel, or transit. It is valid for a period of five years and is electronically linked to the traveler’s passport, meaning it cannot be transferred to a new document. This means that if a passport expires after 5 years, the Canadian eTA will as well. Philippines passport holders traveling to Canada can enter Canada with an approved eTA without applying for a standard visa at an embassy or consulate. This can be done in minutes. Simply enter the required details in a short form and the eTA will be confirmed by email shortly thereafter (usually within a maximum of 24 hours).

CANADA TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA
You may be granted a temporary residence permit if you are ordinarily inadmissible but have a compelling reason to visit Canada.A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office and placed in your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident (as a visitor, student, or worker).” Your need to enter or stay in Canada must outweigh Canadian society’s health and safety concerns, as determined by an immigration or border services officer. Even if the reason for your inadmissibility appears to be minor, you must demonstrate that your visit is justified. If you have one of these visas, it signifies you will only be in Canada for a brief amount of time. You will be unable to apply for Canadian citizenship, obtain Canadian official documents, or claim Canadian benefits such as health coverage. You are only permitted to stay in Canada for the purpose for which you applied, and you are not permitted to work or study in Canada on a long-term basis. If you locate a study program with a period of 6 months or shorter, you may attend it, but only if you specify it in your application. Working is not permitted else. You must also demonstrate that you want to leave Canada and return to your home country. Applicants must follow a set of processes when applying for a Temporary Resident Visa. Because most application processes are being computerized, it is advised that you apply online if at all possible. Even if you apply online, if the Consulate demands interview or biometrics, you must appear in person. If you apply in person, you will need to return to the Consulate several times to complete the process.
CANADA VISA FOR MEXICAN CITIZENS
According to Canadian visa regulations, individuals holding Mexican passports who intend to travel to Canada by air are required to acquire a Canadian eTA. In 2015, the Canadian government introduced the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system for visitors from over 50 countries, including Mexico. If they possess a valid passport issued by one of these countries, citizens of these nations are not obligated to obtain a regular visa for entry into Canada. However, Mexican passport holders must obtain an electronic travel authorization, or eTA, in order to gain entry into Canada. This eTA allows citizens of visa-exempt countries, such as Mexico, to apply for a visa to visit Canada through an online platform. The Canadian eTA for Mexicans is valid for a maximum stay of 6 months and can be utilized for various purposes, including transiting through Canada to another country, vacationing in Canada, and conducting business activities in Canada, which may include attending meetings. The Canadian eTA is valid for a period of 5 years from the date of issue or until the traveler’s Mexican passport expires (whichever comes first). This means that visitors to Mexico do not have to reapply every year, as is the case with traditional visas. Mexican citizens can enter and exit Canada as many times as they wish as long as they do so within the validity period of their eTA. Applicants do not need to visit the nearest Canadian embassy, submit documents, or attend an in-person interview. Everything is done online, and it takes most applicants about 15 minutes to complete the application.
