Canadian Actress, Writer, and Musician, Dayle McLoad, Transforms Her Dreams into Reality

Meet Dayle McLeod. She is an actress, singer, songwriter, author, business owner and shaman.

Born and raised in Alliston, Ontario, Canada, Dayle McLeod spent her childhood acting in every single school play she could and learning to sing regularly on Sunday’s with the help of her church’s choir. There, she found that she had a true passion for both acting and singing at a very young age. So she followed her dreams.

After graduating from Humber College’s Film and TV Acting Conservatory, she landed her very first role in a critically acclaimed TV series called “The L.A. Complex” out in Los Angeles, California. Once the series finished, she decided that she wanted to officially move to Los Angeles and continue following one of her passions – acting.

Dayle has worked on multiple once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. She has been an actress in a web series called “That’s My DJ” by D.W Waterson and she received a nomination for Best supporting actress by both the Toronto Webfest and the L.A Webfestto for her involvement. Additionally, she landed a role in Mary Herron’s latest film about the Charles Manson murders called “Charlie Says,” where she worked alongside Matt Smith from “The Crown” and Hannah Murrary from “Games of Thrones.” Most recently, Dayle secured a recurring supporting role on CW’s “Burden of Truth” and SYFY’s #1 show of all time in its fourth season, “The Expanse.”

Outside of her acting career, Dayle has written, performed and produced her own music. Her very first album, “In Bloom,” was recorded in her mother’s basement in Allison, Ontario, Canada. But, since then, she has started her own production company called The Big Dream, where she seeks to produce work that is created through conversations with the spirit realm to create art that inspires peace and equality in people. At The Big Dream, she also produces her own music videos and short films and publishes her own books – including “The Big Dream; My Terrifyingly Beautiful Shamanic Initiation into the Arts.”

Dayle’s personal life isn’t much different because she lives by what she believes in. Meaning – she is an initiated shaman. It’s something that is important to her and she incorporated ancestral practices into her everyday life and career as an artist. She is also an advocate for shamanic mental and spiritual health practices. Plus, she is currently working with the Gord Downie-Chanie Wenjack Foundation for Native Canadian Reconciliation in her free time.

Dayle McLeod cares so much about the environment, the people around her and what’s currently going on in the world. And she has a true passion for the arts – acting, music, film and more.
