A Toronto bike manufacturer has announced seven of its brand new premium quality bikes are now available to pre-order due to a delay in receiving parts.
RSD Bikes has revealed that the global pandemic has delayed the shipment of many of its bikes as the delivery of parts has been impacted by COVID.
RSD Bikes has revealed the bikes available for pre-order for delivery in October or November and they are currently taking $250 and $500 deposits.
The bikes are Middlechild V2 Chromoly, Middlechild V2 Aluminum, MiddleChild V2 Titanium, 2021 RS-291 Chromoly, 2021 Sergeant V4 Aluminum, Mayor V5 Aluminum, Mayor V5 Titanium. The chromoly and aluminum bikes have a deposit of $250 and the titanium bikes have a deposit of $500.
A spokesman for the company said: “We pride ourselves on timely delivery of our frames and bikes to our customers. Unfortunately, the global pandemic means that delivery of essential parts of our bikes is delayed and these delays are totally out of our control.
“We have been keeping customers up to date with their orders and this latest announcement means that people ordering bikes for Christmas gifts, will receive their bikes in time. But we do urge everyone to order as far in advance as possible to ensure they are not disappointed.
“We know times have been tough for many people, so to put a positive spin on this for us and our customers, this is allowing those who are serious about getting their hands on a quality bike, some at less than $3,000, can pay a deposit now and they have time to get the rest of the money together. Some people ordering certain models will be ordering limited edition bikes as we will only be doing pre-orders on certain lines. So this year’s bikes are special,” he added.
The aluminum MiddleChild is $2,499, the titanium MiddleChild is $4,699 and the 2021 Sergeant V4 Aluminum is priced between $2,499 and $2,149. The 2021 RS-291 Chromoly is priced between $3,199 and $3,249. And finally the Mayor V5s are priced at between $2,099 and $2,499 for the aluminum and the between $4,799 and $4,099.
The prices above are all for delivery of the complete bike, but all of these models are available as frame only or with droppers.
“The bikes available for pre-order are special. The brand new Mayor V5 fat bike will be a particularly useful and fun bike to take delivery of in November when the weather will only allow you out on the trails with a bike a fat bike. We have tweaked the design of this bike to make better than ever and it remains the best value in its category,” he added.
