There are few health issues as serious among children as obesity. So finding creative ways to make eating and exercising fun and cool is a top priority for a great many smart, loving parents. Celebrity nutritionist, author, entrepreneur and most of all mom, Birgit Waites is doing her best to help.
The very high energy, positive personality recently celebrated the reception her children’s book and brand “The Adventures of Pauli Broccoli” has received both from kids and parents, as she works hard to make sure learning how to eat healthy isn’t a colossal bore.
“I was lucky enough to learn to eat healthy at a very early age and it’s something that has benefited me my entire life,” commented Waites. “Pauli Broccoli is too much fun to write about. I think I love it almost as much as the kids do. Green is the new cool and Peas, Love and Broccoli!”
In a perfect storyline for children, Pauli Broccoli is cute little broccoli who finds himself left behind after the farmers harvest the season’s vegetables. Not used to being alone and wanting to reunite with his companions the fun adventure begins, all the while putting a positive spin on veggie-eating – one of the key factors many experts believe can help reduce childhood obesity and other elements of poor health. Delivered in a curiosity-inspiring way, and not like a boring lecture, Waites seems to have found a near-universal key to promoting healthier behavior and habits in kids.

According to the natural health expert, she’s joined on the project by famous German artist Rainer Simon who is equally passionate about Pauli Broccoli, and his trip across the world making vegetable and fruit friends at every stop along the way. Expanding beyond just a book, Pauli Broccoli has turned into a true healthy and fun brand, with additional storybooks, merchandise, catchy songs, animated entertainment and much more in the works. Never losing sight on the goal of building happy and healthy kids, through fun, positive, informative and educational reinforcement. A portion of proceeds from the book will be donated to children-related charities.

Meanwhile, reviews for “The Adventures of Pauli Broccoli” continue to be passionate across the board.
Jim M, recently said in a five-star review, “This is a wonderful story! It’s both engaging, entertaining and educational! Using animated plants and animals to teach children about healthy eating and exposing them to the diversity of our world at the same time is brilliant! I would highly recommend this book.”
