German glam blues/ rock/ soul powerhouse Cheri Lyn is proud to announce the release of her new single, Everyone Loves A Secret, which is the first out of her much-anticipated debut EP Secret Love. The chanteuse is excited to move into new directions with her music, foraying into a larger audience through her crossing German borders and recording her latest work in the Metropolis studio, located in what many call Europe’s art capital, London, England.
Speaking of her new single, Cheri Lyn said “Everyone loves a secret, we all do, it’s what makes people attractive and interesting and allows us to play games. But some secrets hide the truth and this is just a result of not having enough courage to take responsibility for your actions! Even if the truth is more obvious then we first think, we are scared to face reality and rather keep on playing that magical game of hunting black secrets.”
“Everyone Loves A Secret expands on these themes, and is a heartfelt account of a devastating past relationship where I unknowingly found myself to be the other woman. The song is all about my experiences, failures and growth from love. It’s not a revenge – it is a release. It is my sincere hope that listeners will relate to my story, and find themselves singing at the top of their lungs, letting go of any negative emotions they have been bottling up for too long!”
Still riding the waves of the success of her first single, Caught In The Blues, which, at the time of writing, is counting a significant number of views on YouTube, Cheri Lyn is advancing further in her mission to firmly establish herself as a strong and remarkable performer, vocalist and entertainer in the collective consciousness of audiences from across the globe.
Having toured with renowned German bands around the world, including Tokyo and Hong Kong, Cheri Lyn moved to London in 2016 in pursuit of a solo career, working together with a number of key industry players such as producer Alan Glass (Aretha Franklin), Ace (guitarist from Skunk Anansie) or Tim Hawes (songwriter for Spice Girls).
Cheri Lyn and rock singer Helen Hurd celebrated the release of their respective EPs in September of 2018 at the ‘Zigfrid von Underbelly’ under the show name Toxic Gold, in a move which further established their names as up-and-coming stars in the Rock & Blues scene.
