Chichimovies Inc. led by Dr. Edna Frenchwood, spearheaded a generous giveaway initiative that brought together a diverse group of individuals and organizations to support their community. The event, which included a heartwarming brunch, was made possible through the collaboration of multiple key partners. The brunch was held in downtown, Atlanta, and the guests spent over 5 hours, packaging items such as shampoo from Shea Moisture, Skims masks from Kim Kardarshain, SPF 15 makeup by Bobby Brown, biota (a hair growth cream), hand soaps and backpacks.
Dr. Glenda, CEO of MEG and founder of the non-profit UMOF, played a pivotal role in the success of the event by donating the above items purchased by Dr. Edna.
Dr. Hildiah Martin-Suggs of Almost Lost in the System also contributed by providing a selection of water and snacks, ensuring all guests enjoyed a pleasant experience while packaging the items to be donated to the survivors of the LA fire.
Jude Nkeng of Health City lent invaluable support by packaging items for shipping, while Ambassador Mrs. Cathrine Utsalo of Prezens for Charity helped with both packing and bringing additional snacks for the brunch. Josiah Frenchwood, digital media manager for Chichimovies, took on the task of picking up and delivering all 2,000 items, ensuring that no detail was overlooked.
After over 8 hours of working on the items, over seven boxes were shipped to LA from Atlanta, at the local UPS store by edgewood.
Finally, Septimius the Great, a Grammy-nominated artist based in Los Angeles, played a crucial role in ensuring that the collected items reached those in need, further amplifying the event’s impact. Through his partnerships with Rashad Todd and The People 4 the People, a nonprofit with over 10 years of experience serving the community, a dedicated space was set up in Downtown LA. There, they provided pizza, water, snacks, and clothing, in addition to distributing over seven boxes of donated items that Chichimovies had shipped to Los Angeles.
This collaborative effort highlights the power of community involvement and the positive change that can be achieved when individuals and organizations come together for a common cause.
