About the author
The author was Br. James in a Benedictine Monastery, and that’s why he chose the pen name of James Benedict. He graduated from Maine Maritime Academy with an engineer’s license, BS degree and an officer’s commission in the Navy. After shipping the seas to Africa and spending time in the contemplative life, the author enjoyed working for International Paper for thirty-four years in various management positions. Presently, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and writing books that reflect his life experiences and story-telling acumen.
