Clotify is a leading mobile app from Poland, that brings solution to two major problems-The first one faced by consumers who have a closet full of clothing, many of which they don’t wear anymore and second, the decreasing TV advertising budget as more companies and brands are recognizing that it may not be the best method to attract consumers and make sales. Since the time of its launch, the app has been through three iterations, in which the developers have created a solid user acquisition model, and over 31000 users have registered to the app.
With the ongoing online shopping revolution, an increasing number of consumers are shifting from making their decision based on TV commercials causing the traditional media to face the problem of gradually decreasing advertising budgets. Clotify is here to fill the much-needed gap between TV advertising and online sales by using an app as a medium. It has created a brand-new stream of revenue for video content producers and broadcasters. The app redirects traffic from TV programs and online videos to online retail stores. It enables the TV media to become a reliable source of advertisement by connecting directly with their audiences and potential customers.
How does it work?
Clotify serves as a fashion community and connecting platform for TV media, apparel retailers and consumers. It creates public visual wardrobes for TV characters and reality show contestants and enables the users to shop what they like directly from the app. This means the users can find the outfits worn by their favorite TV characters in the app and shop the look conveniently from the app itself. The consumers can also upload and sell their own outfits to reduce the clutter in their wardrobe. In this way, the TV media becomes more relevant to their advertisers as the clothing companies get the opportunity to do product placement in TV shows, reality shows etc.
Major achievements so far:
The three iterations of Clotify app are virtual wardrobe, fashion lover’s community and online secondhand payment between users and commercials. Some of the major achievements of the Clotify app includes getting ranked 12 in Lifestyle apps in Poland, number #7 in Lifestyle iPhone apps in Poland and number #5 in Social/Networking iPad apps in Poland. The figures indicate an increasing acceptance of the Clotify app among the users. As of now, more than 150,000 articles of clothing are added on the platform with the most active user adding 750 articles. In 2018, the app had 82,000 sessions with an average session time of 6 minutes.
Clotify invites accredited investors to contribute in their project through the crowdfunding platform Fundable.
