Collaborative Practice San Diego announces new Board of Directors

The Collaborative Practice San Diego association for professionals in the divorce and collaborative divorce fields has a new Board of Directors taking the helm with the new year.

Outgoing president Myra Chack Fleischer said the professional group is in good hands with the incoming Board.

“I have worked alongside these professionals, some for many years. They are all professional, provide superior services to their clients and the community and are dedicated to helping Collaborative Practice San Diego get even better,” Ms. Fleischer said.

The Collaborative Practice San Diego association is made up of professionals who work in the family law fields. Members are lawyers, accountants and financial advisers, therapists and counselors. Ms. Fleischer said all have the same goal in mind, to make the divorce process as peaceful and equitable as possible and certainly keep the best interests of any children foremost.

As the immediate past president, Ms. Fleischer will be there to advise the new President and Board and lend her experiences to matters as needed.

The new board members are:

President – Karen Kaseno. Ms. Kaseno is a financial specialist based in Del Mar. She is a CPA. Ms. Kaseno steps up from the president-elect position. She will guide the association through the coming year.

President Elect – Shawn Weber. Mr. Weber is an attorney based in Solana Beach. He will take over as president next year. His duties are to assist the president and learn more of what it takes to lead the association.

Secretary – Barry Levine. Mr. Levine is also a financial specialist. Among his certifications are Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and Chartered Financial Consultant. Mr. Levine will handle recording meetings and notifying members of upcoming events.

Treasurer – Ginita Wall. Ms. Wall is a financial specialist who is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. Her duties are to oversee the association’s money and expenses and make regular financial reports to the board.

Members-at-Large: Rebecca Medina and Trish Stanley. Ms. Medina is an attorney based in Encinitas. Ms. Stanely is a psychologist and a Marriage and Family Therapist. They represent the general membership in Board meetings.

The Collaborative Practice San Diego brings together people from various fields involved in the collaborative divorce and mediation processes. In addition to working to improve members’ skills and abilities, the CPSD also holds community workshops to educate the public about divorce choices.
